Mathias Schindler

Welcome to my webpage. I am a passionate and strongly driven individual who grew restless with the narrow-mindedness of academia while studying economics and data science. My curiosity (paired with a streak of entrepreneurial energy) pushed me towards the far more exciting world of tech – a space I've always been naturally drawn to ever since childhood.

Previously, I worked in academia at the ROCKWOOL Foundation's Research Unit, the University of Copenhagen and the Jaume Bofill Foundation. I later joined the Spanish startup Pentabilities, where I took on many different responsibilities as a true Swiss Army knife, contributing across software development, product decisions and UI/UX design, before contributing to the Danish public health care as an Analytics Engineer. 

Today, I work as a software developer while continuing to explore the intersection of technology, design and product development. I enjoy building solutions that combine technical depth with intuitive user experiences and a strong understanding of people, organizations and real-world problems. I am a strong advocate for thoughtful UI/UX design and particularly enjoy the challenge of transforming complex functionality into experiences that feel simple, intuitive and engaging to users.
